Writing
In the Foundation Stage, children are encourage to explore mark making in all areas of the classroom and in the outdoor area. We focus on developing essential gross motor skills before moving to fine motor and then letter formation.
Spelling is taught through appropriate phonics sessions using 'Fred Fingers' and 'Hold a Sentence' techniques.
In Key Stage 1 our The Write Stuff plans introduce children to different genres of writing and supports the development of vocabulary and grammar.
