Spring
We have been learning about the signs of Winter. We have read some Winter stories such as ‘One Snowy Night’ and been looking at countries which have much colder winters than us. We looked at the steps to building a snowman and created our own winter art.
We visited Maryport Library, we enjoyed looking at the books, playing games and listening to stories.
Some of our children have been taking part in the Move to Write programme in Reception. Karen Clarke, the Early Years Advisor has been working with our children on a weekly basis supporting the development of their gross and fine motor skills.
We read lots of stories by the author Julia Donaldson. We enjoyed reading and retelling these stories, using story language and learning about the different characters.
